Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what information getaphotographer.com ("we", "us") collects when you visit the site or send us a photoshoot request, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in the request form we collect what you enter: the type of shoot, city, date (or that your dates are flexible), the package you choose, whether you want prints, your name, email address, phone number (optional) and any notes you add.
Information collected automatically
- Approximate location. Our hosting provider tells us your approximate city and country based on your IP address, so we can pre-fill the city question. We don't use your device's GPS.
- Usage and device data. Pages viewed, how you move through the form, clicks, the referring link or ad, browser and device type. Some visits may be recorded as session replays to help us improve the site; text you type into form fields is masked in those recordings.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Used by the analytics and advertising tools listed below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and, where we can, arrange a photographer for your shoot.
- To understand which cities, dates and types of shoot people want, so we can decide where to offer the service.
- To measure and improve the site and our advertising (for example, knowing whether a request came from an ad).
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Photographers and travel partners we work with, when needed to arrange the shoot you asked for.
- Service providers that run the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting and security), PostHog (product analytics), Google (Google Ads measurement) and Meta (Meta Pixel ad measurement). They process data on our behalf or under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
We don't send your name, email or phone number to Google or Meta through their tags.
How long we keep it
We keep request details for as long as we need them to respond to you and plan the service, and then delete or anonymise them. Analytics data is kept according to our providers' retention settings.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected].
- If you're in the EU/EEA, UK or Switzerland, we ask before using analytics and advertising cookies. If you reject them, we still receive the requests you send us and count visits without cookies, but we don't use advertising cookies or session recordings. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local data protection law, such as the right to object or to complain to a regulator.
Children
The site is not intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
